Tottenham transfer news: Jermaine Jenas claims David Brooks would be perfect at Tottenham
David Brooks joined Bournemouth from Sheffield United in the summer and has been one of the bright sparks in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has six goals and four assists from 22 Premier League games this season, and Jermaine Jenas told Goal that Bournemouth would not allow the youngster to leave on the cheap:
“I think there are a few teams that will want him regardless of how young he is.
“Bournemouth will be asking for a lot of money for him.”
The former Tottenham midfielder praised Brooks’ overall game and believed he could be a top player in the coming seasons.
Jenas highlighted the goals and assists from the 21-year-old before adding that Brooks is a contender for the Young Player of the Year.
Perfect for Spurs
The former midfielder highlighted some youngsters doing well such as Dele Alli at Tottenham and Raheem Sterling at Liverpool, before suggesting that Brooks would be a great choice for his ex-club:
“Young players have the ability to be fearless when they go to a top club and play well. David Brooks will hopefully go somewhere like Tottenham; I think that’s a perfect fit for him.
“He’s also the perfect fit for the club. He would get game time so it would be nice to see him at Tottenham.”
Brooks has proved to be a quality addition to Bournemouth, and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to let go of a future superstar.
