Tottenham transfer news: Spurs interested in Turkish starlet Abdulkadir Omur

Tuttomercato (h/t Express) claims that Tottenham are interested in 19-year-old Turkish sensation Abdulkadir Omur.

The Trabzonspor attacking midfielder has played 21 league games for the Turkish club scoring two goals and providing four assists this season.

The 19-year-old can play in central positions too, but his preferred position is playing on the right side of the midfield.

The report adds that Leicester are also being linked with the 19-year-old, however, a Premier League rival seems to be doing a lot of the running.

Reds on the chase for Omur

Liverpool have been credited with a lot of interest in Omur during the winter window, and the report adds that the club sent scouts to watch the Turk in action recently.

The Turkish youngster is one of the brightest talents coming out of the country, and it will be interesting to see where he could be playing next season.

The 19-year-old has bag-loads of potential, but he needs to be at the right club to develop into a quality player.

Mauricio Pochettino and Jurgen Klopp both have a history of working well with young talents, however, our manager just shades it thanks to his exemplary work at Southampton and Spurs.

Tottenham need to freshen up the side after failing to sign any players in the last two transfer windows. Spurs have done well without any fresh faces coming in, but if we want the team to grow, changes need to happen with the playing squad soon.
