Tottenham transfer news: Real Madrid to offer £50million and Gareth Bale to land Christian Eriksen
The Express claims that Real Madrid will step up their efforts to sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham. The Dane is out of contract at the end of next season, and the report claims that talks over a new deal have stalled with Spurs.
Bale joined Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 but has struggled to take the place of Cristiano Ronaldo in the side. Despite winning several trophies, the Welshman hasn’t made Madrid his home and the report claims Bale hasn’t been able to connect with the fans either.
The Madrid giants are preparing a £50million plus Bale offer to land Eriksen, and the report claims that Chelsea too are interested in the 29-year-old.
The report adds that Manchester City have other targets while Manchester United have cooled their interest in the Welshman.
Spurs need to keep hold of Eriksen
Eriksen is one of the best players in the Premier League and losing him would be a massive blow to Mauricio Pochettino.
The Argentine has built a great team and needs just a few additions to take us to the next level. Although Bale’s return to the team would be great, given that he has a few years left in him, that should not happen at the expense of losing Eriksen.
Spurs haven’t been in great form in recent weeks and have picked up just one point from their last three Premier League games.

The draw against Arsenal at Wembley was a little fortunate given that Hugo Lloris saved a late penalty, and hopefully, we put in a quality performance against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday.
