Latest Tottenham news: Several Tottenham fans nervous ahead of Champions League clash against Borussia Dortmund
Tottenham face Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 tonight. Mauricio Pochettino’s team holds a 3-0 lead after the first leg, and we should be the favourites for this tie.
However, things are never easy for Spurs, and our recent form has not been great. Consecutive losses to Burnley and Chelsea ended our title dreams, and we held on for a point against Arsenal at the weekend.
We now sit just three points ahead of Manchester United and four ahead of Arsenal. The race for third place is back on, and Spurs need to be wary of dropping more points in the coming games.
Dortmund in a bit of a slump too
The German giants are tied on top of the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich but were once leading the table by more than six points.
Dortmund have won just one of their last six games in all competitions and have also been knocked out of the DFB Pokal.
Lucien Favre’s side lost to Augsburg at the weekend while they just about held on to defeat Bayern Leverkusen a couple of weeks ago.
Our 3-0 advantage from the first leg should be too big a hill to climb for the Germans, however, some fans were unsure about the outcome of the tie.
Spurs who haven’t won since the Dortmund home game vs a team with only one win in their last 5 games. Please don’t concede an early goal and remind Aurier not to get a red card and we should be just fine. I’ll take a 4-1 or 5-2 defeat.

At least Dortmund are just as bad domesticly as Spurs so the lead should be sufficient

Not going to be that easy this time lads. Expect a big big fight for it. Grab and early goal if possible, then sit back.
