Tottenham transfer news: Tottenham interested in Notts County youngster Kion Etete
Tottenham are considering a move for 17-year-old Notts County forward Kion Etete, according to the Daily Mail.
The youngster had a week long trial with Spurs and played in an U18 game against West Ham. The report adds Etete has signed a professional contract with County in November, which came just a few weeks after his first-team debut under former manager Harry Kewell.
The report adds that Etete has been linked with Nottingham Forest in the winter window, and Tottenham will be keeping tabs on his progress in the coming weeks.
Another British talent at Spurs?
The youngster has one League Two appearance to his name, and could be another one of our English signings.
Mauricio Pochettino signed several British players during his time at Spurs and has developed them well.
Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Harry Kane are just some of the stars that have grown leaps and bounds under the Argentine.
Etete has a long way to go in his career and he would probably be loaned to a lower division club should we sign him.
Spurs did well with Alli when we bought him from MK Dons, and it will be interesting to keep an eye on Etete’s progress in the coming months.

Tottenham failed to sign any players in the previous two transfer windows, and it will be a major surprise if we go three windows without any new faces coming in.
