Latest Tottenham news: Tottenham fans praise Hugo Lloris for excellent performance against Borussia Dortmund
Hugo Lloris has had his ups and downs with Tottenham but it was all good against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
The Tottenham captain didn’t have a great game in the 2-0 defeat by Chelsea but came back well in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal.
The Frenchman saved a late penalty to give us a point at the weekend, and he was excellent in the 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.
The captain did his best in keeping the Germans out and had some fantastic saves as well. The first half was all Dortmund, but some excellent shot-stopping and defensive efforts ensured we headed into the break goalless.
Kane makes the difference
Harry Kane missed the first leg against the Germans due to an injury, but he proved his quality against them last night.
The England captain scored the only goal of the game in the second half, and Spurs held on for a 4-0 aggregate win.
The tie could have been different had we conceded an opening goal, but Lloris ensured that was not to happen.
The 32-year-old still seems to have it in him between the sticks, and it could take a while before we see someone replace him as our No.1.
Several Tottenham fans were impressed by the Frenchman’s performance at the Signal Iduna Park, and here are their reactions from the tie.
That save against Arsenal could truly prove to the massive turning point in his season from a personal perspective.
Hugo’s a winner and will know his judgement and decision-making hasn’t been good enough this season but that was a wonderful performance tonight definitely ‘MOTM’.

I’ll be honest and say I’m the first to criticize the man, but he was an absolute mountain tonight especially in the first half when one goal would have given Dortmund hope. Fair play 👏
