Latest Tottenham news: Spurs fans pleased with Manchester United’s win over Paris Saint-Germain

Manchester United produced one of the great Champions League displays after their 3-1 away win over Paris Saint-Germain.

The Red Devils were trailing 2-0 from the first leg and made it 2-1 with seconds left to play in normal time.

The referee consulted VAR to hand United a penalty which Marcus Rashford scored, despite being under tremendous pressure. This took the English side through to the quarter-finals on away goals, and there were celebrations from the United players, fans and coaches.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has turned things around for the club, and some Tottenham fans were also happy with this result.

Solskjaer should be the permanent United manager

The Norwegian took over till the end of the season after Jose Mourinho was sacked and has only lost one game so far.

This win was also important as it showed he can do a job with several United players out injured, and many Tottenham fans believed he should be given the manager’s position on a permanent basis.

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with the job at Old Trafford for a while (h/t Telegraph). However, the Argentine has done a great job here too, leading us to a Champions League quarter-final after defeating Borussia Dortmund.

Pochettino is one of the best in the world and it is imperative that we keep him. Spurs have grown from strength to strength, and hopefully, United make the decision to keep Solskjaer rather than remove him before the start of next season.
