Tottenham transfer news: Spurs target Franck Kessie could be sold by AC Milan
Franck Kessie joined AC Milan on a two-year loan, and Tuttosport (h/t Football.london) claims that the Italian giants could sell the midfielder to fund a move for Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa.
The report adds that Milan are obliged to purchase Kessie at the end of his two-year loan but want to sell him for double the €20m they would have to pay for him.
Another Italian outlet, Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Football.london) claims that Spurs were in contact with the player’s representatives during February.
Spurs didn’t sign a player in the winter window, however, we did sell Mousa Dembele. The Football.london reports adds that the 22-year-old Kessie could be seen as a replacement for the Belgian.
Kessie a top prospect in Europe
The 22-year-old Ivorian is one of the brightest sparks in the Italian game and plays mostly as a deep-lying midfielder.
Kessie has four goals and one assist from 24 Serie A games and it will be interesting to see if we make a bid for him in the summer window.
Tottenham need to add quality to a thin side and Mauricio Pochettino could develop Kessie’s game in the coming years.
