Latest Tottenham news: Fans react to Arsenal’s win over Manchester United and race for top four
The top four race has certainly opened up in recent weeks, especially due to Tottenham’s poor form.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men lost to Chelsea recently and have picked up just one point from four Premier League games.
From challenging for the Premier League to looking over our shoulders, Tottenham now lie just one point ahead of Arsenal in the table.
The Gunners rode their luck a bit in their 2-0 win over Manchester United. The Red Devils had the better chances but two moments changed the game.
Granit Xhaka’s shot wrong-footed David de Gea and they were a little lucky winning a penalty. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang slotted past the Spaniard to give Arsenal a two-goal lead.
Chelsea are also in the running for the top four and have a game in hand on their rivals.
Fans a little concerned about the Champions League next season
The Blues could end up being one point behind us should they win their extra game, and we have trips to Anfield and the Etihad waiting before the season ends.
We should have been clear from this pack after our excellent start to the season, but the deficiencies in the team have been laid bare in recent weeks.
It was good to see United get beaten as they have been the team in form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over, however, many fans were fretting about the race for the Champions League places now.
Today could have gone worse for Spurs….could do with Wolves doing a job on Arsenal as well #COYS

Arsenal 1 point behind, United 3, behind and Chelsea 4 behind with a game in hand they’ll probably win. Yeah we are finito.

Arsenal fans singing “Tottenham Hotspur we’re coming for you.” What they mean is “You’re having a bad run whereas we’ve been distinctly average all season and are now finally winning a few.”#coys

We are getting battered by Liverpool and ManCity. Annoys me because Burnley and Watford kept the games close for a while… we will be 2-0 down after 15 minutes and the games will be over because we think we can go toe to toe with them. That’s the arrogance Poch and players have

Well, at least United fanboys are back to earth. #COYS

Arsenal have no top 6 teams left but 5/8 tough away games with a poor away record, Spurs have 5/8 decent games at the new stadium but City and Liverpool away and United have City and Chelsea who also play Liverpool. It’s mad

Arsenal beat United, but lose to Rennes.
United beat PSG, but lose to Arsenal.
Spurs beat Dortmund, but lose to Southampton.Football’s a strange sport 🤔

Okay so with that win it’s pretty much confirmed arsenal will finish ahead of us again. Frankly along as we get top 4 I can handle it, this whole domestic campaign has been a disaster from start to finish

Chelsea have to go to Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd and Leicester
Arsenal have to go to Watford, Everton, Leicester and Burnley
Man Utd go to Wolves, Everton and still have to face City and Chelsea at home.
Race for the top 4 has plenty of twists to go yet
