Latest Tottenham news: Spurs stars train in Barcelona during mini-break

Tottenham are spending some time in Barcelona training in the Olympic Stadium.

Spurs are coming off a poor 2-1 defeat at the hands of Southampton, and this can be seen as a mini-break before the players head off for the international games.

Mauricio Pochettino was pictured speaking with club captain Hugo Lloris in Barcelona.

The Tottenham captain has had his ups and downs this season but saved our skin in the derby against London and against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Another player that has come into form is Harry Kane. The Englishman seems to be scoring for fun, however, we can’t seem to convert his goals into wins.

Dele Alli returned to action against Southampton, and the Englishman also chipped in with the assist in that game.

The midfielder was pictured with Eric Dier and Lloris in training.

Some players need to step up

One player’s goals seem to have dried up in recent weeks. Son Heung-min did a great job when Kane and Alli were injured but the South Korean seems to be missing something in front of goal.

Moussa Sissoko was also having a great season but has found things tough in recent weeks. He was lucky not to get sent off against the Saints after a heated exchange and a minor headbutt.

Serge Aurier wasn’t played in the loss to the Saints, and the Ivorian needs to do better in place of Kieran Trippier or Kyle Walker-Peters.

Our defence hasn’t been great over the past month and Toby Alderweireld needs to work things out with the others in the back four.

The next game we play is against Liverpool on 31 March, and we cannot afford to drop silly points as we look to ensure a top four finish.
