Latest Tottenham news: Tottenham could play Inter Milan legends in test event
Tottenham are set to host their first game in the new stadium but they have to conduct two test events of increasing capacities to attain a safety certificate.
The Evening Standard adds that Southampton’s U18s would be the first visitors and the report claims that the Tottenham legends want to host the Inter Milan legends on 30 March in front of 45,000 fans.
The report adds that the club wanted to host the Bayern Munich legends last Autumn, but the stadium hit several delays which pushed the opening dates back.
Big names to join the Tottenham legends
The academy fixture would be held on 24 March, and the report adds that some big players would make the trip to represent the Italians.
Hernan Crespo, Francesco Toldo, Marco Materazzi, Javier Zanetti and Youri Djorkaeff are some of the players being lined up for the game on 30 March.
The report adds that Darren Anderton and David Howells should be set for the game while the club could invite Teddy Sheringham, Jurgen Klinsmann and Chris Waddle.
It is imperative that both events go off without any problems for us to be able to host senior games for the first-team.
