Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Spurs have first refusal on Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale’s Real Madrid career hasn’t gone as he would have liked in recent seasons. The Welshman has helped them to several trophies but the fans don’t seem to be on his side.

The former Tottenham star was jeered by some fans in a recent game, and his agent had to come out and say that Bale wasn’t leaving Madrid anytime soon.

However, Football.london reports that the 29-year-old is set to leave Madrid at the end of the season.

Real had have a poor campaign too and switched managers once again. They sacked Santiago Solari and replaced him with Zinedine Zidane.

The Frenchman had resigned from the role at the start of the season after leading them to a third consecutive Champions League crown.

Spurs could do with the experience of Bale

Bale could find his feet at another club, and Tottenham have the first refusal over the Welshman should another Premier League club try to sign him (h/t Football.london).

The 29-year-old was exceptional during his time at White Hart Lane, and we could do with someone of his experience at the club.

Spurs need to make some signings in the summer after going through two windows without adding to the side.

The report adds that Bale would not come on the cheap, however, this could be the best option for the Welshman.
