Tottenham transfer news: Spurs interested in PSG left-back Layvin Kurzawa

Calciomercato (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham are interested in Paris Saint-Germain defender Layvin Kurzawa.

The 26-year-old has only started four league games this season thanks to the rise of Presnel Kimpembe.

The report adds that Kurzawa has a few admirers with Atletico Madrid and Manchester United keeping tabs on the Frenchman.

The left-back has just one year left on his current deal at the end of the season, and the report adds that PSG have offered the defender a new contract.

However, the French giants could be inclined into selling him to avoid the situation which arose with Adrien Rabiot.

The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the campaign and will move on a free.

Tottenham could do with a wing-back

Spurs have two decent left-backs in Danny Rose and Ben Davies, and we could do with a quality player providing competition to the pair.

However, we need an experienced right-back as well given the troubles of Kieran Trippier this season.

The Englishman has struggled for form since the World Cup, and it will be interesting to see our actions in the summer.

Kurzawa was excellent for PSG a couple of years ago but hasn’t been able to usurp Kimpembe from the first-team.

Spurs have a great relationship with PSG thanks to the signings of Lucas Moura and Serge Aurier in the past, and hopefully, we make the right signings before the start of next season.
