Latest Tottenham news: Fans upset over England call-ups for star players

Tottenham don’t have a game until 31 March due to the FA Cup fixtures at the weekend and the international break after that.

The international games certainly play havoc with the planning for the next game as teams have very little time to prepare.

Tottenham are one of the best in the Premier League, and it should come as no surprise that several stars will be away with their national sides.

England have a large Spurs contingent and the FA called-up five stars ahead of the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Some players need a rest

All the five players called-up have had their injury problems this season. In fact, Dele Alli only started against Southampton after almost two months.

The English star was out with a hamstring problem and Harry Kane too recently came back from an ankle issue.

Eric Dier too was out recently while Kieran Trippier didn’t face Southampton due to injury.

England have enough quality to deal with teams such as the Czech Republic and Montenegro, with no disrespect meant to them.

Taking away five players who have had their issues is certainly worrying, given that we don’t have the largest squad in the Premier League.

The five could all start for us against Liverpool, who we play next. Many Tottenham fans were upset at this decision by the FA and voiced their concerns on Twitter.
