Latest Tottenham news: Tottenham’s pre-season plans include ties against Manchester United and Juventus

Tottenham confirmed that they would be touring Asia as part of their next pre-season. Spurs had played International Champions Cup games in the US at the start of this campaign, however, they will be travelling to Asia and also participate in AIA’s centennial celebrations.

Football.london reports that they have seen promotional material regarding the Tottenham’s plans with AIA being a “presenting sponsor” of the International Champions Cup 2019 in Singapore.

The material suggests that Juventus will play us on 21 July. Tottenham are then expected to move to Shanghai where they play one game against Manchester United on 25 July.

Spurs have visited Asia prior to this for the Barclays Asia Trophy and even played a season end friendly against Kitchee SC in 2017.

This will be a great chance for our Asian fans to get up close with the team, and it will be interesting to see how we deal with this pre-season compared to the last one.

Tottenham have a daunting task ahead of them

We could face Juventus this season too in the Champions League but they would need to defeat Ajax in their quarter-final while we have to overcome Manchester City.

Spurs got one of the toughest draws in the competition, while Liverpool got an easy one as they play Porto.

City defeated us earlier in the season but we have to be at our best for any chance of beating the Premier League leaders.

The Cityzens have been imperious in recent months while we have struggled to perform in the Premier League with just one point from four games.
