Latest Tottenham news: Spurs confirm Crystal Palace match as opener in new stadium
Tottenham have finally confirmed the date of the first match to be held at the new stadium.
Spurs were expected to move into the new ground in September, however, there have been several delays regarding the stadium.
Mauricio Pochettino had always claimed that Tottenham would move into the stadium this season, and the club confirmed that our first visitors would be Crystal Palace on 3 April.
The release from the club added that the game was finalised after Brighton’s win over Millwall in the FA Cup.
The Seagulls will come to our new home on either 23 or 24 April in the Premier League.
Champions League at new ground
Spurs have been handed a tricky tie in the Champions League quarter-finals as we face off against Manchester City.
The Cityzens have been incredible in recent months, but they play us thrice in a span of 11 days. The release from the club confirmed that we would play the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final at our new home on 9 April.
The club is expected to share more details about ticket pricing and event details later, but this will be a huge boost for the team till the end of the season.
Hopefully, we do not take a lot of time to bed into the new ground as we are in a fight for a top four spot in the league.

The new stadium could also be intimidating to the opposition, especially with a great atmosphere, and that should give us an edge against City in the Champions League.
