Tottenham transfer news: Julio Cesar Torres ready to sign contract with Tottenham
Bolivian winger Julio Cesar Torres is set to sign a contract with Tottenham to play for the reserve team, according to an interview with Red Uno (h/t Football.london).
The report claims that the attacker and his agent Gonzalo Anciar gave an interview to the Bolivian outlet, and the youngster will move to Tottenham on loan with the club having an option to have, according to his agent.
There is also an image of the 21-year-old signing on a document with the Tottenham badge on it, and the report claims that he is expected to move to London in the final days of April.
The winger also was excited at the move and said (h/t Football.london):
“A great surprise that has been given to me, that very few young people have here in Bolivia.”
A surprise signing for Tottenham
Not much is known about Torres and this news comes as a bit of a surprise given that we haven’t signed any player in two transfer windows.
Spurs aren’t known for making surprising signings, and this comes from out of the blue.
Tottenham have a huge South American contingent at the club, and Mauricio Pochettino knows about South American football pretty well.

It is to be seen if this transfer actually works out next month, and hopefully, Torres could be a star in the making at Spurs.
