Spurs transfer news: Christian Eriksen avoids answering questions regarding Tottenham future

Christian Eriksen is one of the Tottenham stars away on international duty. The Dane has joined up with the national side for the games against Kosovo and Switzerland.

The Spurs midfielder was asked about his future by the Danish media, especially regarding the links to Real Madrid and Juventus (h/t Football.london).

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season and has not signed a new deal with Spurs.

When asked by the media regarding his future, the Dane didn’t open up about the rumours and was quoted by Ekstra Bladet (h/t Football.london) as saying:

“I don’t want to talk about it. You write everything anyway, so there is no need to talk about it. I really just want to focus on the national team, when I am here.”

The Denmark manager also had his say regarding Eriksen and hailed the midfielder’s professionalism (h/t Football.london):

“I’m not talking to him about it. I never interfere with it. Christian is so professional that he does his job in Tottenham, where he has a contract for a year yet. Now it’s about the national team.”

Interesting summer ahead for Spurs

Losing Eriksen would be a major loss for Spurs but that can be softened if we get a huge amount from his sale.

The 27-year-old is one of the best in the Premier League and has the potential to get even better in the years ahead.

Spurs could do a rebuilding job with the cash they get from him too. Toby Alderweireld is another star who is out of contract at the end of the next campaign.
