Spurs news: Serge Aurier picks up injury ahead of crucial Liverpool clash
Tottenham were dealt a blow as Serge Aurier picked up an injury while playing for the Ivory Coast, according to the Daily Star.
The right-back had to be replaced in the 3-0 win over Rwanda in an AFCON qualifier, and the report claims he could be out for two-three weeks with a hamstring problem.
That would rule him out of the clash against Liverpool which takes place on 31 March.
Aurier has played 17 times for the club this season and has a couple of FA Cup goals to his name.
Tottenham face another injury issue
Aurier isn’t the only concern Tottenham have ahead of the clash against Liverpool. Eric Dier also picked up a knock in England’s 5-0 win over the Czech Republic and had to be replaced.
The Englishman won’t play for the side in their next game against Montenegro and is set to return to Spurs for further treatment.
Hopefully, Tottenham have a full-strength side to pick from for the game at Anfield next weekend.
Tottenham are in a battle to secure a top-four place and cannot drop silly points. Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are also in the race for the Champions League spots.
