Latest Spurs news: Fans pleased as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer named as Manchester United manager
Manchester United named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their permanent manager after many impressive months under the Norwegian.
Solskjaer was appointed on an interim basis and replaced Jose Mourinho, but the BBC confirmed that the Norwegian has a three-year deal at Old Trafford.
The former United striker has helped the Red Devils back into the race for the top four, and are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League too.
Relief with Pochettino staying put
The BBC’s Simon Stone put up a pertinent question regarding the future of Mauricio Pochettino. The journalist claimed that many predicted the Argentine would be taking over from Mourinho after the Portuguese was sacked.
However, this development should come as great news for Tottenham and the supporters. Pochettino can now concentrate on the job at hand and take the team to the next level.
The Argentine has done a great job at Spurs, and it would be debatable if anyone else could have done a better job with the same conditions.
Tottenham have battled for titles and we are missing some sort of silverware under Pochettino.
However, many fans were pleased with the decision taken by United as it means more Poch magic at Spurs, especially as we usher in a new era at our new home.
Buzzing that Solskjaer’s got the United job. He’s maaaagic, you knowwww #COYS

As a Spurs fan I’m delighted, but can’t help thinking @ManUtd have gone with their heart and not their head when appointing Solskjaer. I’d have sold my Nan to get Mauricio Pochettino. He just might have gone too!! 🤷🏻♂️ #Magic #COYS #MUFC

I’m glad Man Utd have finally appointed Solskjaer as boss. Now all the bullshit surrounding Pochettino will stop. And with Zidane back in charge at Real, Poch is going nowhere. Not that I thought he’d leave us for Man Utd anyway #COYS #YidArmy ⚽️

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appointed full time United manager
A 99.99% change that Pochettino is staying at Tottenham
If that is the case, please give the man some money in the Summer and see what we can really do. Stop planning for the future and live in the now#COYS #THFC pic.twitter.com/nJJG7aqSuQ
