Spurs transfer news: Tottenham to launch summer bid for Celtic star Kieran Tierney
The Express claims that Tottenham will make a summer bid for Celtic defender Kieran Tierney in the summer.
The report adds that Mauricio Pochettino wants some new faces in the club after not signing a player in the last two transfer windows.
The Scottish defender could also leave Celtic, according to the Express, with other clubs interested in the 21-year-old left-back.
Tierney is one of the brightest players at Celtic and has been impressive since breaking into the team three years ago.
Tottenham to return for a star in the making?
Spurs were also linked with the player in the winter window but didn’t make any signings in January.
Tierney has been great for the Hoops this season with four assists from 18 Scottish Premiership games, and he could do with a move to a tougher league.
The Scot has the potential to develop further and that could be aided by Pochettino. The Argentine has a history of working well with young players during his time at Southampton and Tottenham.
Ben Davies and Danny Rose are the two senior left-backs we have in the first-team at the moment, and the pair could do with more competition for a spot in the defence.

Celtic seem set for another league title this season despite losing manager Brendan Rodgers mid-season. The Northern Irishman left the Hoops for a return to the Premier League with Leicester, and it will be interesting to see if Tierney makes the jump next season too.
