Latest Spurs news: Tottenham stars wear “Kick It Out” shirts during training session

Tottenham released several photos of our stars wearing a “Kick It Out” T-shirt during a training session as part of the organisation’s Week of Action.

Kick It Out is English football’s equality and inclusion organisation, and their website adds that their objective is to work “throughout the football, educational and community sectors to challenge discrimination, encourage inclusive practices and campaign for positive change.”

Son Heung-min, Erik Lamela, Christian Eriksen and the other Tottenham stars were pictured training wearing the T-shirts and Mauricio Pochettino also sported one while speaking on the trip to Anfield on Sunday.

Tottenham and Liverpool need the three points for different reasons, but football was witness to some unsavoury incidents during the recent international break.

Pochettino ready to call players off

Danny Rose was subjected to racist abuse recently in England’s 5-1 win over Montenegro (h/t Sky Sports) and the Tottenham manager was ready to call his players off should a similar incident take place.

Sky Sports adds that England reported the incident regarding Rose to UEFA, who are carrying out investigations.

The Argentine also told Sky Sports that there was nothing more important than stopping such incidents from taking place in any walk of life:

“If I feel the abuse and I hear them – out.

“Yes, we stop. Nothing is more important than stopping that. Again, we can win or lose three points, I don’t know.”

Mauricio Pochettino added that values and principles should be protected, and no one should be abused.
