Latest Spurs news: Joachim Andersen rock-solid for Sampdoria in 1-0 win over AC Milan
AC Milan might not be the powerhouse of Italian football that they were in the early 2000s. The giants of Italian football have been left behind by the likes of Juventus, Napoli and AS Roma.
Their latest humbling came against Sampdoria, who won, thanks to a goal from Gregoire Defrel in the 1st minute.
The home side had more shots even though they had lesser possession and Joachim Andersen did a great job at the back for Samp.
Andersen has been linked with Tottenham and didn’t have a great game last time around. Sampdoria won against Sassuolo but conceded three goals, and this clean sheet was the Dane’s first in four games.
Andersen impresses for Samp
The 22-year-old had a 100% tackle completion rate and even made four clearances and an interception, according to WhoScored.
The Dane was great with his passing too as he had a completion rate of 91% with 50 accurate passes.
Andersen wasn’t afraid of keeping possession too as he had 66 touches in the game, just second to Dennis Praet in Sampdoria team, and the Dane also had 5.2% of the possession in the game.
Sampdoria could still make it to the European spots come the end of the season. They lie eighth in the table but are just six points behind fourth-placed Milan.

They next play Torino in the midweek before another big test for Andersen comes up as Samp host AS Roma next Sunday.
