Spurs transfer news: Zinedine Zidane will decide on Gareth Bale future in summer

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has refused to share assurances about Gareth Bale’s future at the club.

The Frenchman left the side at the start of the season but sensationally returned a couple of weeks ago. Madrid had gone through two managers during that time, and Zidane was brought back to steady the ship.

Bale hasn’t always had a great time in Madrid and has been linked with a return to the Premier League (h/t Sun).

Tottenham, along with, Manchester United and Chelsea are all keen on bringing the attacker back, according to the Sun.

Zidane claimed that no decision had been taken on Bale’s future, however, the 29-year-old would be part of the final 10 games of the season.

The manager claimed Bale was an important member of the team and spoke about his magic in the Champions League, but did not confirm he would be staying at Madrid (h/t Sun):

“We know what he has done here, even in Champions League finals.

“Nobody can take away what he has done. We know he can bring a lot to the team, and we will count on him.

“We are going to play these ten games [the last ten of the season], and then we will see. That does not mean that, afterwards, there will be changes.”

Real struggling for form this season

This season has been a disaster for Real as they should finish the campaign without any silverware. They were knocked out of the Copa del Rey and Champions League recently, and sit 12 points behind arch-rivals Barcelona in the race for the La Liga crown.

The 29-year-old has still managed to do a decent job at the club with 11 goals and four assists in all competitions.
