Spurs news: Eric Dier ruled out with two others ahead of Manchester City Champions League clash
Tottenham have been dealt a major blow for the clash against Manchester City on Tuesday.
The club confirmed that Eric Dier will miss the Champions League first leg quarter-final as he deals with a hip flexor problem.
The 25-year-old hasn’t played for us since the 2-1 defeat at the hands of Southampton. The Englishman picked up the injury in the 5-0 win for England and had to be replaced in the 17th minute.
Dier had played 22 games for Spurs in all competitions this season and recorded a couple of goals in the league.
The 25-year-old isn’t the only player out of the clash, with two others ruled out as well.

Fernando Llorente returns
Spurs added that Erik Lamela and Serge Aurier are also out of the clash against City, but Fernando Llorente is back in the side.
The Spaniard missed the stadium opener against Crystal Palace due to a concussion protocol and it will be interesting to see if he makes it to the squad for Tuesday’s game.
Llorente has been in decent form this season and has scored seven goals in all competitions.

Tottenham defeated Palace, thanks to goals from Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen, and hopefully, we come out of the clash against City with enough lead to make the second leg easy at the Etihad.
