Spurs transfer news: Inter Milan’s Piero Ausilio watched Christian Eriksen against Manchester City
Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sun) reports that Inter Milan’s transfer chief, Piero Ausilio, watched Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen on Tuesday.
The Dane played in the 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League and the Sun adds that there is a lot of speculation on his future.
The 27-year-old’s contract talks at Tottenham have come to a standstill and the Sun reports that Real Madrid have been linked with the former Ajax star.
Changes planned at Tottenham?
Gazzetta (h/t Sun) claims that the main reason for Ausilio’s presence on Tuesday was to watch the Dane, who is out of a contract at the end of next season.
Eriksen has scored six goals and provided 11 assists in the Premier League this season. The midfielder also scored and assisted in the first Premier League game held at the new stadium.
The 27-year-old has been in decent touch recently with three assists and a goal in his last three games.
The Sun adds that up to 12 players, including Eriksen and Kieran Trippier, could be on the chopping block at Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino plans a revamp.
Spurs haven’t bought any players in two transfer windows, but that should change once this season ends.
