Spurs news: Dele Alli could have suffered a broken hand in 1-0 win over Manchester City
The Daily Mail reports that Dele Alli underwent a scan on Wednesday amid fears that he had broken a hand in the 1-0 Champions League win over Manchester City on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old had to be replaced in the dying minutes of the game and was seen holding his wrist.
The report claims that even if Alli suffered a broken hand, the Tottenham medical team will find a solution to ensure the Englishman does not miss the remainder of the season.
The Englishman could continue playing with a cast to protect his hand or a splint, according to the report.
Alli hasn’t been at his best this season and missed part of the season with a hamstring injury in early 2019.
The 22-year-old has scored just seven goals for us in all competitions and has three assists to his name this season.
Tottenham already dealt a major injury blow
Losing Alli would be a huge problem for the remainder of the campaign as we are in a fight for the top four spots and have a slender lead in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Harry Kane picked up a serious-looking injury in the win over City, and Mauricio Pochettino feared that the England captain’s season could be over.
