Latest Spurs news: Moussa Sissoko a doubt for the Champions League games against Ajax
Moussa Sissoko faces a race against time to regain fitness for the Champions League ties against Ajax.
The Sun reports that Sissoko is a major doubt against the Dutch giants after injuring his groin.
Mauricio Pochettino added that Sissoko is out for the clash against Brighton and was hopeful of a quick recovery (h/t Sun):
“No. He is not going to be fit for the next two weeks.
“I hope he can recover before but I’m not optimistic.”
Tottenham will be without the services of Son Heung-min due to a suspension in the first leg against Ajax, and Harry Kane is out with an ankle injury too.
Harry Winks hasn’t played in the last three games and Sissoko was missed in the 1-0 defeat at the Etihad on Saturday.
The Frenchman will be missed in the first leg against the Dutch giants, and hopefully, we see him return quickly before the second leg on 8 May
More Pochettino magic needed
Tottenham have an opportunity to boost their top four hopes with a win over Brighton, however, we need to ensure none of our players pick up further injuries.
Pochettino has done a great job this season taking us to the Champions League semis, and we have a real chance of reaching the final.
