Spurs transfer news: Atletico Madrid preparing close to £15million bid for Kieran Trippier
The Sun reports that Atletico Madrid are preparing a bid up to £15million for Tottenham right-back Kieran Trippier.
The English defender hasn’t had a great season for Spurs and the Sun reports that Mauricio Pochettino is willing to let the defender leave.
Trippier had a great World Cup with England but his form for Tottenham has been sketchy, to say the least.
The 28-year-old has made several mistakes this season and has been caught out several times by the opposition.
Interest aplenty for Trippier
Despite his below-average season, the report claims that Napoli are also interested in the Englishman. However, reports from Italy add that the Serie A giants fear they could be outbid for the 28-year-old.
Tottenham value Trippier highly as the report claims the club sees him worth close to £40million.
The report further adds that Everton and Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs interested in the former Burnley defender.
The Englishman has made 25 appearances for us in the Premier League this season with five more in the Champions League.
Serge Aurier is the other senior right-back at Tottenham, but the Ivorian has been average this season with several injury problems.
The Sun claims that Pochettino is looking at making several changes in the side with six players coming in if we can sell as many.

Trippier recently admitted that his season hasn’t been great and it will be great if we can get an upgrade on him in the summer.
