Latest Spurs news: New stadium architect claims Daniel Levy was his most demanding client
The architect of the new Tottenham stadium, Christopher Lee, has claimed that Daniel Levy was his most demanding client.
The Evening Standard reports that Lee worked alongside Levy for almost a decade on the venue, and the architect shared some interesting details about our chairman.
Lee told BBC Radio 5Live that Levy seems to be working 24 hours a day (h/t Evening Standard):
“You might guess Daniel doesn’t work 9-5, he’s very much a 24-hour clock.
“I stopped travelling with him because he just never sleeps. I’m sure he sleeps two or three hours a night.”
The architect added that Levy was amazing and involved in minor details of the new stadium:
“He’s amazing, he is the most demanding client I have ever worked for, incredibly committed, incredibly involved in the project down to the smallest details you couldn’t possibly imagine.”
Ambition driving Levy
Lee has also worked on the Emirates ground of our rivals Arsenal, and the architect added that Levy is ambitions and “very driven”.
Levy has worked hard to get the stadium ready this season, along with several workers, despite many delays.
The stadium’s architect added that Levy never wanted our home to be better than Arsenal’s but added that a lot had changed in the 10 years since the Emirates was opened.
Tottenham are yet to concede a goal in their new home and have all their games at the stadium since moving in.
