Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino hopes Harry Kane will be back for Champions League final
Harry Kane has not played for Tottenham since the 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg.
The Englishman suffered ankle ligament damage, which has kept him out of the side.
The 25-year-old has a habit of making a quick recovery, and Mauricio Pochettino believes the Englishman could be back for the Champions League final, should Tottenham reach that stage.
The final is in Madrid on 1 June and Pochettino hailed the hard work and determination to return (h/t Sun):
“My gut is maybe he can be available, because I know Harry Kane, the determination to work, to be focused and recover as soon as possible but I am not a doctor.
“This is only my gut. But I hope, yes. It is going to depend on his rehab.”
Spurs cannot take Ajax lightly
Kane returning for the final would be a huge boost for Tottenham. The Englishman has found the back of the net 23 times and is one of the best in the world.
Tottenham cannot take Ajax lightly ahead of their Champions League semi-final. The Dutch giants have had the weekend off to prepare for the clash at our new stadium, and have knocked out Juventus and Real Madrid this season.
Spurs have a tough clash against West Ham to overcome and we need to ensure there are no further injuries to the team.
