Spurs transfer news: Real Madrid open talks over Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele

AS (h/t Football.london) reports that Real Madrid have opened talks over a summer move for Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele.

The report claims that the 22-year-old’s representatives travelled to the Spanish capital over a possible move at the end of the season.

Ndombele has been one of the stars in Lyon over the past two seasons, and the report claims that the talks have been encouraging for both parties.

Football.london adds that Tottenham are interested in the midfield dynamo and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the 22-year-old.

The report goes on to say that the deal with Real won’t be easy as Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also tracking the French international.

Lyon willing to sell some stars

The report adds that Lyon are willing to let one or two star players leaving in the summer.

Two other Frenchman are being linked with a move away with Nabil Fekir and Houssem Aouar attracting interest, according to the report.

Ndombele has made 45 appearances for Lyon this season with two goals and six assists to his name. The French midfielder would add more steel and grit into the Spurs midfielder, and it is to be seen where he ends up playing football next season.

Going toe to toe with Real over transfer fees is a step too far for more clubs in the world, and Spurs need to be smart about not overspending on their targets in the summer.
