Spurs transfer news: Tielemans unwilling to commit future to Leicester City
The Daily Star reports that Tottenham are interested in Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans.
Leicester City signed the 21-year-old on loan from Monaco in January, and Tielemans has been exceptional under Brendan Rodgers.
The youngster has recorded three goals and four assists since making the switch to the Premier League and is enjoying his time at Leicester City.
Tielemans scored in the 3-0 win over Arsenal, and the Daily Star reports that the fans were chanting ‘Sign him up, sign him up’ at the King Power Stadium.
The 21-year-old spoke after the game and wasn’t committing his future to Leicester (h/t Daily Star):
“I’m feeling the love. When you score and you hear your name with the crowd singing ‘sign him up’ it’s fantastic to play in that atmosphere.
“As for my future, we’ll see at the end of the season. I am just enjoying everything here and we’ll see after the next two games.”
The report adds that Leicester do not have an option to buy Tielemans after his loan ends, and the Belgian was willing to wait until the end of the season to decide his future:
“We will see. I’m just finishing this season and we will see at the end. We are taking it game by game.”
Lots of interest in Tielemans
Tottenham aren’t the only ones interested in the 21-year-old, with Arsenal and Manchester United keeping tabs as well (h/t Daily Star).
The youngster struggled to make an impact during his spell at Monaco but seems to have found his feet in the English game.
