Spurs transfer news: Tottenham await bid from Manchester United for Kieran Trippier
Gianluca di Marzio (h/t Daily Star) reports that Tottenham have rejected a bid close to £17m for Kieran Trippier from Napoli.
The English defender has struggled to match his performances from the World Cup in the summer, and the report claims that Spurs are interested in Manchester United’s offer for the 28-year-old.
United could offer in the range of £30m, according to the report, and that is what Spurs value the English international at.
The report claims that Tottenham are looking to make some signings in the summer window, and Mauricio Pochettino wants an upgrade on Trippier.
Right-back needed at Manchester United
United are also set to make several moves in the summer, according to the report, and the right-back is an important position for the Red Devils.
Tottenham could do with upgrades in a few positions, and it will be interesting to see our plans in the summer.
Spurs have Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters as the other right-backs, but the pair haven’t grasped the few chances they have had to cement a place in the team.
Getting close to £30m for a defender that isn’t doing all that well would be a brilliant deal, considering we paid only £3.5m for Trippier in 2015 (h/t Daily Star).

Trippier has played 33 times for us this season but has made several costly errors at the back.
