Latest Spurs news: Mauricio Pochettino isn’t concerned about Arsenal as titles are his target

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino isn’t concerned about what Arsenal do as he sets his sights on trophies.

The Argentine has done a wonderful job in developing the team from European hopefuls to Champions League regulars.

Pochettino has also seen Spurs finish above their bitter rivals for the first time in 22 years but a trophy has evaded the Argentine.

That is the target for the former Southampton manager, and he isn’t worried about what Arsenal do.

Speaking on the Premier League show, the Argentine also wanted his team to focus on the job ahead (h/t Evening Standard):

“We are close to the dream of winning the Champions League and the Premier League but we must be focused.

“In the last five years we focused on reducing the gap and being above Arsenal. Now we must be focused on winning titles.”

Spurs need to bridge the gap in the Premier League

Tottenham have been excellent in Europe this season, and are one game away from the Champions League final.

We need to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Ajax in the coming week, but the story has been different in the league.

Manchester City and Liverpool have been miles ahead of the chasing pack this season, and it will be interesting to see how the Argentine tackles this issue next season.
