Latest Spurs news: Tottenham fans react to Jan Vertonghen’s tweet on Arsenal result
Tottenham are almost certain of finishing in the top four of the Premier League after Arsenal’s 1-1 home draw against Brighton.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang opened the scoring via a penalty but Brighton equalised with a spot-kick of their own converted by Glenn Murray.
The result leaves the Gunners three points behind Tottenham, and they have an inferior goal difference compared to Spurs.
Only an eight-goal swing on the final weekend will see Arsenal climb above Spurs, and that is highly unlikely given than we play at home while Arsenal face Burnley away.
The Gunners have a poor record away this season, and the Brighton draw helps given that we lost 1-0 to Bournemouth at the weekend.
Vertonghen tweets about the result
The Evening Standard claims that Jan Vertonghen tweeted about Arsenal’s draw which gave us breathing room going into the final day of the Premier League campaign.
I’ll take that

Vertonghen missed the clash against Bournemouth and it is to be seen if he return for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Ajax.
Arsenal could still enter the Champions League next season by winning the Europa League, but it seems we will finish above the Gunners for another season.
However, many Tottenham fans reacted to the former Ajax defender’s tweet which took a dig at the Gunners.
Lose 7-0, finish 5th, Arsenal lose in the UEL final, Sissoko scores a 120+2 winner in the CL final 😍😂😂😂
