Spurs transfer news: Tottenham to battle European giants for Hakim Ziyech

Dutch reports (h/t Calciomercato) claim that Tottenham are interested in Ajax star Hakim Ziyech.

The Moroccan international has been excellent for the Eredivisie giants and has helped them in reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

Spurs got a close look at Ziyech in the first leg of the semi-final and will face the Dutch side on Wednesday for a place in the final.

The 26-year-old has bagged 18 goals and 15 assists for Ajax in all competitions this season and provided the pass for Donny van de Beek’s goal against us last week.

Ziyech has been in great touch recently and has scored or assisted seven goals in his last seven games for the club.

European giants interested in Ziyech

Tottenham will have to fight Bayern Munich and Inter Milan for Ziyech’s signature, according to the report.

Ajax have had a fantastic season and the report adds that several players are being targeted by the big clubs ahead of the transfer window.

Ziyech would be an incredible signing for Tottenham given his composure on the ball and versatility of playing in several positions.

The 26-year-old would provide us with more creativity in the final third, and it will be interesting to see if he ends up in the Premier League.

Ziyech has been consistently amongst the goals for Ajax over the past two seasons, and he seems ready for the next big move in his career.
