Latest Spurs news: Several fans want Kieran Trippier sold as Napoli links emerge
Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed that the Italian giants are looking into Kieran Trippier and Hirving Lozano as possible transfers.
The Italian spoke before the clash against Cagliari on Sunday, but did not confirm if the club would sign the English defender (h/t Sky Sports):
“All I can say is that they’re both [Trippier and Lozano] players we’re evaluating.
“So, to be honest, I can only confirm our appreciation of the player. Now we have to start proceeding with the analysis.”
The Tottenham defender has struggled this season despite a fantastic World Cup with England.
The Three Lions reached the semi-finals with Trippier being one of the best defenders in the tournament.
However, the former Burnley star has made several mistakes for Spurs which have proved to be costly this season.
Tottenham’s right-back problem
Sky Italy (h/t Sky Sports) claims that the 28-year-old is a target for Napoli, but Trippier is still our first-choice right-back.
The other options we have in the first-team are Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters. The pair haven’t impressed this season and the Ivorian has spent a lot of time on the treatment table.
Trippier for a fee of £3.5m in 2015 from Burnley (h/t Sky Sports) and had been a decent right-back for Mauricio Pochettino.
The Englishman has made errors in the past but this season has been difficult for all at Tottenham.
Spurs should just about finish in the top four and are in the Champions League semi-finals, but we lost 13 games in the Premier League this season.
Trippier isn’t the only player having a below-par season, and many fans were willing to see the end of the Englishman as they learned about the Napoli links.
Hope this is true

I just hope they are still ‘evaluating’ him based on recordings of the World Cup matches or he ain’t going anywhere.
