Spurs transfer news: Ryan Fraser open to staying at Bournemouth for another season

Bournemouth attacker Ryan Fraser has opened up about his situation at the Cherries and could remain at the club for another season.

The 25-year-old has been one of the bright spots for Eddie Howe’s side this season and only trails Eden Hazard in the Premier League assists charts.

The Scot has scored eight times for the Cherries this season and has racked up 14 assists in the Premier League.

The Mirror claims that talks over a new deal have not progressed and Howe is unwilling to approve a £20m sale.

The report adds that Tottenham are interested in Fraser but Everton and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on him.

Fraser isn’t letting the situation get to him, and was willing to remain at the Vitality for another season (h/t Mirror):

“I’ve got a year left. There’s a very good chance I’ll be here next season.

“If that’s that then I’m going to try my best as I always do and I’ll enjoy it.

“I love the group here and the fans. There’s no bad side to what’s happening.

“There’s a good chance I’ll be here next season and I’ll try and beat my assists record next season as well.”

A free agent signing in the works?

The 25-year-old can play in several positions in the final third and it will be interesting to see where Fraser ends up.

He could be willing to wait until the end of next season before making a move, and a free agent signing would be great from Tottenham’s point of view.

However, Fraser is in the form of his life and it would be fantastic to snap him up in the summer.

The £20m (h/t Mirror) selling price isn’t that high and Spurs should have a busier transfer window in a couple of months than they have had in the past year or so.
