However, Spurs confirmed that the 22-year-old suffered a thigh injury against the Cherries and misses out.

Sanchez has started 29 games in the Premier League and Champions League combined, but there was some good news for Spurs regarding a few players returning.

Lamela and Aurier back in training

Serge Aurier and Erik Lamela have spent a long time on the treatment table, but they are back in training, according to the tweet by Spurs.

Harry Kane and Harry Winks are still out for Spurs while Jan Vertonghen is being monitored and could play with a protective mask against the Dutch giants.

Spurs have the ability to defeat Ajax, despite losing the first leg 1-0 at the new Tottenham stadium.
