Latest Spurs news: Pochettino does not confirm Tottenham stay even if we beat Liverpool
Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t confirmed he would remain at Tottenham should he win the Champions League.
The Argentine told he could quit should Spurs lift the title prior to the game against Ajax (h/t Mirror):
“Winning the Champions League? It should be fantastic, no? Close the five year chapter and go home.”
Tottenham turned things around against the Dutch side in the semi-final second leg. Trailing 3-0 on aggregate, Lucas Moura scored a stunning hat-trick to end Ajax’s dreams of playing in the final.
Pochettino was asked again by beIN Sports about his future: “You’re not really going to quit Tottenham are you?”, to which the Argentine responded: “We’ll see.” (h/t Mirror).
Spurs are one game away from glory
The tie against Ajax proved how far we have come under Pochettino, and it would be a shame to lose the Argentine should we lift the trophy.
Standing in our way is a tough Liverpool side who charted their own incredible semi-final story against Barcelona.
The Reds might have defeated us twice in the Premier League this season, but the Champions League final will be a different story.
The win will give us immense confidence ahead of the final in Madrid, and you can never rule out this Tottenham side from doing the incredible.

We were excellent against Manchester City over two legs, and hopefully, we can win the Champions League on 1 June.
