Latest Spurs news: Harry Kane targets Champions League final return

Tottenham striker Harry Kane was seen running onto the pitch after our 3-2 win over Ajax in the Champions League semi-final.

The Englishman picked up an ankle injury against Manchester City in the competition and has been on the road to recovery since.

However, the England captain is hopeful of returning for the Champions League final against Liverpool on 1 June.

The 25-year-old spoke after the game and provided an update on his rehabilitation (h/t Evening Standard):

“Hopefully [I will be fit]. Rehab is going well so far. I start straight-line running this week.

“We’ll see. So far so good, so if it carries on as it should I would hope to be. There’s still a few weeks to go.”

The Englishman has scored 23 goals for us this season, despite suffering two serious injuries.

Spurs doing the damage without Kane

Spurs were without Kane for the second leg against Manchester City in the quarter-final as we beat the Cityzens on away goals.

Lucas Moura was the hero for us last night as the Brazilian scored an incredible second-half hat-trick to take us to Madrid.

The Brazilian will be riding high on confidence going into the final, but having Kane back would be a huge boost against Liverpool.

We have three weeks remaining for the final, and hopefully, our players are fit and ready to face the Reds.
