Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in moving for Luca Connell of Bolton
The Sun reports that Bolton will lose starlet Luca Connell once they go into administration.
The report claims that the 18-year-old has been tracked by several Premier League clubs after making it to the first-team, however, he is one of several players set to leave the Trotters.
Tottenham are interested in the midfielder but so are Everton, Wolves and Norwich, and the report claims that Southampton and Brighton saw a bid rejected for Connell in the winter window.
Connell free to leave in the summer
The report adds that the 18-year-old is out of a contract at the end of the season. Any team wanting to sign Connell could do so by paying training compensation to Bolton (h/t Sun).
The Trotters have had a disastrous season and have been relegated from the Championship. The Sun adds that the Bolton are on the brink of administration and have a debt of £41.6million.
Spurs sold Mousa Dembele in the winter window and did not sign a replacement for the Belgian. We could do with another first-teamer joining in that position but it would be a major step up for Connell.
The Irish youngster has been one of Bolton’s better performers this season but Spurs already have starlets such as Oliver Skipp aiming to get more games in the first-team.

Mauricio Pochettino has worked well with young talent in the past, and it will be interesting to see who we sign once the transfer window opens.
