Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in Lucas Digne but Danny Rose could head the other way

Tottenham are interested in Everton left-back Lucas Digne, according to the Daily Star.

The former Barcelona star joined the Toffees for £18million in the summer and the report claims that the Frenchman is valued at twice that amount.

Digne has been one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and has recorded four goals and four assists this season. The report claims that Everton would only consider letting Digne leave if Danny Rose is included in the deal.

The Tottenham defender hinted at possibly leaving Spurs after the Champions League final, and the report claims that Mauricio Pochettino wants to freshen up his options for the left-back position.

The report adds that Manchester United and Chelsea could renew their interest in Rose, and the Englishman was a target for the pair earlier.

Everton wanted Rose prior to signing Digne

The report adds that the Toffees wanted to sign Rose before getting their hands on Digne, and Spurs would have to pay a little extra should the swap deal take place.

Rose has been one of the better players for Spurs this season but Digne seems to be doing extremely well in the second half of the campaign with Everton.

The 25-year-old is younger and is better in the final third than Rose and we could come out as winners should the swap deal take place.
