Spurs transfer news: Tottenham close in on £25million deal for Ryan Sessegnon
The Sun reports that Tottenham are close to signing Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon for a deal close to £25million.
The English youngster will turn 19 soon and was incredible in their promotion run to the Premier League last season.
However, this season was a struggle for the Cottagers as the club were relegated to the second tier, and Sessegnon had an average campaign.
The English attacker racked up just two goals and six assists from 28 Premier League games. Fulham also sacked a couple of managers this season and need to rebuild under Scott Parker.
Fulham take the decision to sell star
The report adds that Fulham are willing to do the deal for half of what they wanted for the Englishman last season.
Sessegnon has only one year left on his current deal, and the report adds that Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United were also linked with the youngster.
The report claims that Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Sessegnon and are closing in on the talent.
Spurs haven’t signed players in two transfer windows and Sessegnon would make an excellent signing, especially at that price.
The youngster has the potential to become one of the best in the world and under Mauricio Pochettino, that is possible.
