Spurs transfer news: Tottenham contemplating move for Gareth Bale

Tottenham are considering a loan deal for former star Gareth Bale as Real Madrid want the Welshman out, according to the Sun.

The 29-year-old isn’t having a great time in Spain with the fans booing him throughout the season, according to the Sun.

The report adds that Real will allow Bale to leave for a £10million loan fee if a club can pay around £250,000-a-week to the Welshman in wages.

Bale makes around £600,000-a-week at the La Liga club and Zinedine Zidane does not want the multiple Champions League winner at the club.

Spurs unwilling to sign Bale permanently

The report adds that Spurs are not interested in signing the Welshman permanently, and Lyon are also interested in the attacker.

The problem lies with his wages and the report adds that Bale has three years left on his current deal.

The Welshman could be a decent option for us but the reported wages for Bale are certainly on the extreme side.

The former Spurs man could do a job in the Premier League and it is to be seen if we make a move for him in the summer.

The 29-year-old was one of the best players in the Premier League before leaving for Real, but things haven’t been great for him this season.

Spurs need to make some signings in the summer but we need to be smart about our spending and not end up making poor decisions in the transfer market.
