Spurs transfer news: Tottenham interested in West Ham United’s Arthur Masuaku

West Ham left-back Arthur Masuaku is being tracked by Champions League finalists Tottenham, according to the Sun.

The 25-year-old left-back has done reasonably well this season under Manuel Pellegrini with 27 appearances in all competitions for the Hammers.

The report claims that Borussia Dortmund are also keeping an eye on the Congolese defender, and he has attracted the attention of Tottenham as they search for a new left-back.

Rose’s future is unclear

The Sun adds that Danny Rose’s future at Tottenham is unclear as the Englishman spoke about the Champions League final possibly being his last game for the club.

Ben Davies would be the only senior left-back in the team should Rose leave in the summer, and the report claims that Masuaku could be a viable option to play in that position.

The 25-year-old has one year left on his current deal but West Ham have the option of extending the contract by another 12 months (h/t Sun).

Tottenham could do with another player for the left-back position but we need an upgrade on Rose and Davies. Masuaku hasn’t really impressed that much this season, and it might be better holding onto Rose if we can.

Spurs need to build upon the performance from this season, which saw us finish in the top four and reach the Champions League final despite several injuries and a lack of spending.
