Latest Spurs news: Six Tottenham stars selected by England for Nations League finals
England named their squad for the Nations League finals where the Three Lions face the Netherlands for a place in the final.
The other teams involved in the competition are Switzerland and Portugal. England’s game comes just five days after the Champions League final and that could be a problem for some of our players.
Tottenham face Liverpool in the Champions League final on June 1 and our English contingent will barely have time to recover from possibly the biggest game we have played in our history.
The six players selected for the Nations League are Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Danny Rose, Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier.
Injuries galore for Tottenham’s stars
Tottenham have been extremely unlucky with injuries this season. Kane and Winks are recovering from problems while Dier and Alli have missed chunks of the season with issues too.
Almost every player has been out with some problem, and the extension of the season will affect the English players. Spurs had several players in the semi-finals of the World Cup, which hurt our preparations for this season.
Some players even returned from Russia with knocks, but we still finished in the top four and are in the Champions League final.
Kane and Winks haven’t been declared fit yet and naming them in the squad this early certainly did not sit well with some of the fans.
They’re gonna kill these players..

Ridiculous. Give Harry a break

Ridiculous. Players who have had recent injury problems now have to turn out with almost no preparation instead of having a summer to recover. If Southgate can’t get a competitive team without killing our players we should tell him to take a hike.
