Spurs transfer news: Hugo Lloris wants a return to France with PSG a possible destination
Le10 Sport (h/t Football.london) reports that Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris could be looking to return home with Paris Saint-Germain a possible destination.
The France international has been one of the best in recent years and even lifted the World Cup in the summer.
The 32-year-old has made a few mistakes during his tenure at Spurs, but he has put in some great performances to win us games too.
Lloris signed for Spurs from Lyon in 2012 and hasn’t really been challenged for his starting position since. Paulo Gazzaniga has risen to the backup keeper’s role while Michel Vorm hasn’t played much.
Lloris has a few years left at Tottenham
Football.london adds that Lloris is contracted at Tottenham until 2022 and Daniel Levy would be looking to make the most of the deal.
PSG have Gianluigi Buffon and Alphonse Areola fighting for the starting place between the sticks, but both keepers have had their ups and downs this season.
Finding a quality replacement for Lloris would not be easy and we could keep the Frenchman until the end of his contract, at least.
The keeper’s experience is also something that cannot be taken lightly, and that should come into play on June 1.
