Latest Spurs news: Moussa Sissoko unsure about who he will play under next season

Moussa Sissoko has been one of the resounding successes from this Tottenham season.

The former Newcastle United midfielder struggled to perform at his best since moving from the Magpies but has been one of the best Spurs players from the campaign.

The 29-year-old has played 42 games for us this season with the Champions League final on the horizon, but the Frenchman was unsure about his future or even that of manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Speaking to Canal Football club (h/t Sun), the Frenchman claimed he was happy at Spurs but could not rule out anything:

“I am still under contract with them so all is good. But as he [Spurs right-back Serge Aurier] said, and you know it better than me, anything can happen in football very quickly.”

Questions around Pochettino’s future

The Sun reports that Pochettino has hinted he could leave Spurs should we defeat Liverpool in the Champions League final on 1 June.

The Argentine has done a wonderful job at Tottenham since taking over from Southampton, and Sissoko could not guarantee Poch would remain at the club next season (h/t Sun):

“Not necessarily. I don’t know.

“At the end of the season, it could be that they have a new project, that a new coach comes, and he doesn’t count on me – he wants to sell me.

“Many different things could happen.”

The Sun adds that Pochettino was linked with the Manchester United job but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the manager’s role on a permanent basis.

Juventus are also parting ways with their manager Max Allegri, and Pochettino has been linked with a move to the Serie A giants (h/t Express).

Sissoko has been great for Spurs this season and it will be interesting to see if he leaves once the campaign is over. However, we need to keep hold of Pochettino as he is one of the best in the world.
